CONDUCTOR: Art Fair of the Global Majority launches its inaugural edition at Powerhouse Arts in Brooklyn from April 30 to May 3, 2026, with a VIP opening on April 29. The fair brings together 27 gallery exhibitors and 17 special projects representing artists from diverse regions including Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, and Indigenous Nations. Curated by Fair Director Adriana Farietta in collaboration with Powerhouse Arts President Eric Shiner, the fair aims to expand access, representation, and cultural exchange within the global art ecosystem. Participating galleries include Galería Extra from Guatemala City, Bockley Gallery from Minneapolis, Brihatta Art Foundation from Dhaka, and others. The fair showcases painting, sculpture, installation, and interdisciplinary practices, with a Special Projects section featuring ambitious large-scale installations and mixed-media works exploring global histories, identities, and cultural narratives.
