Pharrell Williams's auction platform JOOPITER is launching Inked, a standalone tattoo auction featuring sixteen commissioned designs by contemporary artists. The sale opens for global bidding from October 22 to 31, 2025 on the platform's website, with select designs previewed at Dover Street Market during Art Basel Paris. Each invited artist developed a tattoo rooted in a core visual or conceptual thread of their practice, producing designs intended to be worn while also functioning autonomously as artworks. Participating figures span cross-disciplinary practices and include a posthumous reissue of a Lawrence Weiner tattoo released by his estate, linking tattoos to printmaking's material logics of transfer, reproduction, and permanence.
