
ArtPhilly will open a five-week city-wide festival on May 27, 2026, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding. The festival, titled What Now: 2026, will feature over 30 newly commissioned projects created by and with Philadelphia artists. Projects will be selected by a curatorial committee to deepen the city’s artistic identity and to spark important conversations about the future of the United States.
