Christie’s will auction a Patek Philippe timepiece from Andy Warhol’s collection on June 12, estimated at $200,000–$400,000. The watch is a midcentury Calatrava design, specifically the Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 570, described as chosen for horological integrity and quiet sophistication. It is a double-signed example carrying the signature of retailer Hausmann & Co. The watch was first offered in 1988 during a major sell-off of Warhol’s estate. Warhol’s Patek Philippe has also appeared at auction in 2021, selling for $150,000. Despite Warhol reportedly preferring a Rolex, the watch’s pedigree and cultural cachet remain highly desirable, supported by limited production and craftsmanship.

"In 2021, Warhol's Patek Philippe hit the block again at Christie's, realizing $150,000 against a high estimate of $95,000 (sale prices include fees; estimates do not). Though Warhol was never photographed wearing this Patek Philippe (he was reportedly partial to his Rolex), its pedigree and cultural cachet still make it a compelling lot, Ross noted."
""The market for historic Patek Philippe watches has strengthened significantly in recent years, driven by limited production, exceptional craftsmanship, and a growing global collector base," she said over email, highlighting the desirability of its double-signed di"
