Abdul 'Duke' Fakir, last of the original Four Tops, dies at 88
Briefly

Fakir helped embody the Tops' showmanship, class, and artistry. Duke was first tenor – smooth, suave, and always sharp. For 70 years, he kept the Four Tops' remarkable legacy intact.
The Four Tops, with hits like Reach Out I'll Be There and I Can't Help Myself, were among Motown's most popular acts peaking in the 1960s, showcasing a versatile vocal style.
They called themselves the Four Aims initially, then renamed to avoid confusion, and became commercially successful under the songwriting-production team of Holland-Dozier-Holland in the 60s.
