Yes, AI will eventually replace some workers. But that day is still a long way off
Briefly

A recent inquiry into AI quotes revealed a fabricated statement attributed to Tim Cook about AI's impact on business efficiency. Following this, a survey by Orgvue exposed that over half of business leaders who laid off employees due to misconceptions about AI replacing jobs regretted their decisions. The article emphasizes the current limitations of generative AI, likening it more to an advanced search tool rather than a replacement for human jobs. It warns business leaders, especially in small to mid-sized companies, against assuming AI will soon take over roles, highlighting the absence of significant evidence supporting such a transition.
AI is already making businesses more efficient, more responsive, and more personalized. It's a growth driver. One problem. Cook didn't actually say that.
Anyone firing employees because they thought that AI would do their jobs in 2025 should be fired. It really doesn't take much research to see AI isn't at the place where it's replacing people yet.
At best, generative AI platforms are providing a more enhanced version of search... But these chatbots are nowhere near replacing our employees.
Business owners would love to replace their employees with AI. But that's just not reality and won't be a reality for the foreseeable future.
