Wharton School has announced a new MBA major and undergraduate concentration in artificial intelligence, set to launch in fall 2025. This curriculum aims to equip students with technical and conceptual knowledge about how AI influences various sectors. Required courses include machine learning, ethics, and a new class on big data responsibilities. The shift aims to prepare graduates for the increasing demand for AI talent, helping them understand both the technological foundations and the broader implications of AI applications in business.
Companies are struggling to recruit talent with the necessary AI skill,” Wharton’s vice dean said.
The new curriculum will help students develop both a technical understanding of how businesses are using AI and a more conceptual sense of the technology's economic, social, and ethical implications.
