Beomni 1.0, a cutting-edge robot, will be showcased at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This multi-functional robot can delicately pick up small objects and lift weights up to 30kg. Initially controlled remotely, its AI will learn to operate independently over time. Developed by Dr. Harry Kloor, the robot aims to aid sectors suffering from staff shortages, having already been tested in a hospice. Beomni is also designed for diverse environments and tasks, envisioning applications from healthcare to hazardous work in warehouses.
The Beomni 1.0's design allows it to perform delicate tasks like picking up salt, yet it can also lift heavier objects, showcasing its versatility.
Dr. Kloor, aiming to create robots for good, dreams of merging his passion for robotics with real-world applications in healthcare and other sectors.
