"The U.S. Army is using an AI tool called CamoGPT to remove diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility references from training materials per a directive from President Trump."
"CamoGPT aims to review a vast array of policies and programs for DEIA content, aligning with a recent executive order aimed at reshaping military communications."
The U.S. Army has adopted a prototype AI tool named CamoGPT to identify and eliminate references to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) from training materials. This initiative follows a January executive order by President Trump, mandating that all Pentagon materials viewed as "un-American" are to be removed. The tool's implementation aims to uphold the Army's national security objectives, with the intention of increasing productivity within the ranks. A TRADOC representative confirmed about 4,000 users are currently engaging with CamoGPT daily, enhancing the Army's operational readiness.
