Stuck in AI pilot mode? IBM has a solution to help you scale - without ripping everything up
"Until now, many AI initiatives have been either fragmented proofs of concept, function-specific applications, or embedded within commercial product features. IBM's offering, called IBM Enterprise Advantage, represents a next-generation AI platform and service delivered as a comprehensive package that can be plugged into a wide variety of business cases -- without the fuss and muss of tearing up existing systems or searching around for specific talent and toolsets."
"Many efforts to date have typically been built off public or private AI models, "often uncovering enterprise debts that stall progress," Saurabh Gupta, president of research and advisory services at HFS Research, told ZDNET. "Those often-experimental approaches rarely translate into enterprise-grade outcomes on their own." Also: AI agents are only as good as the data they're given, and that's a big issue for businesses"
IBM launched IBM Enterprise Advantage, a combined platform and consulting service to unify fragmented enterprise AI initiatives. The offering plugs into existing cloud providers, AI models, and core infrastructures to avoid tearing up systems or hunting specialized talent. The package aims to help AI managers rapidly build AI-ready processes, redesign workflows, connect AI to legacy systems, and scale agentic applications within domains. Many current efforts begin as experimental models or feature embeds and often uncover technical debt that stalls progress and prevents enterprise-grade outcomes. The product extends IBM's internal AI platform outward and aligns with a Services-as-Software approach.
