Sitch's new dating app fuses human matchmaking and AI | TechCrunch
Briefly

Sitch is a new dating app that combines human matchmaking expertise with AI, seeking to enhance user satisfaction in an overcrowded market dominated by apps like Match and Bumble. Co-founded by Nandini Mullaji, who draws on her familial matchmaking background, Sitch aims to overcome the limitations of current apps by using large language models to analyze extensive user information. The onboarding process involves nearly 50 questions to better understand users, ultimately leading to more personalized match suggestions without the traditional swiping mechanism.
Matchmaking is a data problem. I have been good at matchmaking because I had so much more information about two people than a dating app would have. The data in those apps is insufficient to tell you if two people will have long-term compatibility.
Our goal is to extract data from profiles and pictures using LLMs and show personalized matches.
