Signs is an innovative platform dedicated to teaching American Sign Language (ASL) while fostering community engagement. The platform offers real-time feedback via a 3D avatar for learners and encourages experienced users to contribute videos, enhancing the available resources. Created by NVIDIA and Hello Monday/DEPT&, the project promotes equitable access to sign language education, particularly aiding hearing parents of Deaf children. By leveraging AI, Signs aims to create a public dataset for third-party developers to create accessible applications for the Deaf community, reinforcing its vision of community-powered learning.
At Signs, we believe in community-powered learning. Those familiar with ASL can contribute videos, helping create a continuously expanding dataset. This ensures that as the platform grows, so does the variety of signs available to learners.
