Meta introduced a Threads feature called Dear Algo that lets users request more or less of specific topics by posting a public, letter-style message directed at the algorithm. Dear Algo posts can be reposted by others, applying the same feed adjustments to reposters. Requested tweaks apply to a user's feed for three days to keep content tied to current conversations. Meta offered limited examples — such as more posts about an NBA game or podcasts — and did not clarify how specific requests can be, including excluding certain viewpoints or muting spoilers. Meta also announced plans for a 1 GW AI datacenter in Lebanon, Indiana.
