Meta is laying off several hundred employees across multiple teams, including sales, recruiting, and Reality Labs. The layoffs will impact employees in the U.S. and internationally, with some offered other jobs or relocation options. Fewer than 1,000 employees will be affected, as Meta employed nearly 79,000 people at the end of 2025. These layoffs follow a previous reduction in January, where 10% of the Reality Labs division was cut. Meta is investing billions in AI, expecting record capital expenditures this year.
