Meta Platforms announced that its artificial intelligence chatbot, Meta AI, will expand to 21 new markets, enhancing its competition against OpenAI's ChatGPT.
Currently boasting almost 500 million monthly active users, Meta AI will soon be available in the U.K., Brazil, and various other Latin American and Asian countries.
With this rollout, Meta AI aims to reach a total of 43 countries and support a dozen languages, targeting to be the leading AI assistant globally by the end of 2024.
Though Meta AI's latest expansion does not include new character voices announced by CEO Mark Zuckerberg, those features will follow on a separate timeline.
