Informatica adds agents to automate its Intelligent Data Management Cloud
Briefly

Informatica has introduced Claire Agents aimed at automating data management tasks within its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). These agents will harness natural language to streamline processes like data discovery, quality management, and the creation of data pipelines. Previously, these functions required manual interventions and coding. The upcoming agents will particularly focus on tasks such as data ingestion and exploration, which should significantly ease the burden of ongoing data maintenance for enterprises. However, organizations will need to wait for a preview until Fall.
Before the introduction of Claire Agents, each of the capabilities had to be carried out manually via code or through guided systems.
Data cleaning and augmentation are never-ending tasks for many enterprises, and automation could help them finally get on top of things.
The first of the new agents will tackle tasks including data quality, data discovery, data lineage, data ingestion, ELT, and data exploration.
Informatica's new tools aim to simplify enterprise data management through automation, reducing the manual coding effort and maintenance workload for users.
