Hollywood AI pioneer Flawless launches new editing tool
Briefly

DeepEditor, developed by Flawless, enables filmmakers to make photorealistic edits, including transferring performances and synchronizing dialogue without reshooting. Its success in the survival thriller directed by Mann is significant, as it transformed a potentially R-rated film into a profitable PG-13 hit. The software utilizes AI and neural networks for facial modeling and dialogue reconstruction, streamlining the editing process. Additionally, the Artistic Rights Treasury (A.R.T.) feature ensures that performers give consent for edits, gaining support from SAG-AFTRA. Mann believes this technology will redefine film production practices in the digital age.
"DeepEditor is proof that AI can enhance storytelling while ensuring performers and editors remain in control," Mann said.
"It's already altering where people are shooting," Mann last month. "And as it extends out, I think it's going to completely transform how we make movies."
