Nscale, a London-based startup, has raised $155 million for a fully integrated AI infrastructure platform that provides access to data centers and GPU technology.
The startup asserts it can deliver better unit economics compared to competitors because it owns its data centers and can offer a complete stack for AI training.
CEO Joshua Payne explained that many clients lack expertise in deploying extensive GPU resources. Nscale's integrated model allows them to be faster and cheaper than those relying on licensed facilities.
After observing ChatGPT-3's public release, Nscale pivoted to AI infrastructure, believing a vertically integrated approach was essential for building a resilient AI cloud.
