Elon Musk's AI bot adds a ridiculous anime companion with 'NSFW' mode
Briefly

SuperGrok has introduced AI companions, including Ani and Rudy, announced by Elon Musk. Ani includes an NSFW mode and both avatars are currently available, with settings needing adjustment to access them. A simplified process for activating these avatars will be available soon. Additionally, another character named Chad is being developed. The character launch follows previous issues regarding antisemitism and praise for Hitler, attributed to an upstream code update. Grok also features a voice mode for faceless interaction.
People who pay for access to SuperGrok can now try the AI chatbot's new 'Companions' avatars, announced by xAI owner Elon Musk. These companions are currently Ani, an anime avatar, and Rudy, a cartoony red panda. Ani features an 'NSFW' mode with lingerie attire, and users are cautioned about the availability of NSFW videos in searches. Users have to enable the companions through settings for now, but Musk states a simplification of this process is forthcoming.
The introduction of animated characters comes after Grok's recent controversy involving antisemitism and Hitler praise, attributed to a code update. Alongside 'Companions,' another character called 'Chad' is reportedly in development. The existing voice mode allows users to communicate with Grok's faceless version, complete with an 'NSFW' toggle.
