Director Brady Corbet confirmed the use of AI in post-production for his film 'The Brutalist' to enhance the Hungarian accents of actors Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones, stating it did not affect their performances. The innovative Respeecher technology was used exclusively for refining Hungarian dialogues. Corbet also mentioned that although generative AI helped in creating some architectural drawings in the film, the final renderings were crafted by human artists. This historical drama explores themes of immigration and recognition through the story of a Holocaust survivor.
Innovative Respeecher technology was used in Hungarian language dialogue editing only, specifically to refine certain vowels and letters for accuracy. No English language was changed.
All images were hand-drawn by artists, intentionally designed to look like poor digital renderings of their era.
