Developers use these agents for multi-step tasks across existing codebases and sometimes switch between models during outages. Heavy reliance has given rise to "vibe coding," where natural language is used to generate and run code without full understanding. That practice has led to catastrophic incidents, including file destruction and deletion of production databases, caused by model confabulation, misinterpretation of file structures, and fabricated data or operations.
