Cursor AI's AI support bot erroneously claimed that users could not access the tool on multiple devices, which led to user frustration. After receiving complaints, Cursor co-founder Michael Truell clarified in a Reddit post that no such policy exists and issued a public apology. He explained that the misinformation stemmed from an AI bot's incorrect response and vowed to improve their system to prevent future occurrences. This incident underscores the challenges in AI's reliability, particularly in customer support roles.
Any AI responses used for email support are now clearly labeled as such. We use AI-assisted responses as the first filter for email support.
You're of course free to use Cursor on multiple machines. Unfortunately, this is an incorrect response from a front-line AI support bot.
