Mikel Arteta held a special meeting with his players after Arsenal's home defeat to Manchester United and told them to 'Let's enjoy it.' He urged the squad to banish fear of failure, reminding them they 'can't lose something you haven't won' and that the title chase is a journey that will not always go their way. Arsenal's lead at the top of the Premier League was reduced to four points, though the team has dominated domestically and in Europe, including eight wins from eight in the Champions League group stage. The club has not won the league since the 2003/04 Invincibles season, and past late collapses and injuries, notably in 2007/08 and 2022/23, have increased anxiety among players and supporters. Under Arteta, league finishes improved to consecutive second places before the current campaign.
