Romano explained that it still seems a bit early to know for sure what will be happening with Bakayoko, with developments perhaps more likely in a few weeks' time rather than now. Romano also didn't comment on the specific links with Arsenal, but stated that there is interest from a lot of clubs in both England and Germany ahead of this summer's transfer window.

In another section of his column, Romano also played down talk of Napoli front-man Victor Osimhen becoming a priority for the Gunners, with the club seemingly yet to decide on who they will focus all their efforts on, with other names also seemingly in the mix.
