Yossi Benayoun, the former Arsenal player, is among the candidates for the sporting director position at the club. Arsenal is looking for a replacement for Edu, and while Atletico Madrid's Andrea Berta is the frontrunner to finalize the role, Benayoun has expressed interest. Despite not receiving a formal offer, he highlighted his willingness for a director role in the Premier League. Benayoun brings experience from his coaching role with the Israeli national team, yet Berta's proven track record makes him the likely choice to replace Edu.
Of course I would be interested in a sporting director role in England, but I am also a pro licensed coach. Let's see what comes up.
While Berta is certainly more proven than Benayoun, it's perhaps not surprising that he's now emerging as the favourite to replace Edu.
