During the ordeal, she used racially charged language but denied the harassment charge. Bompastor emphasized that Kerr's apology was sufficient, asserting that everyone makes mistakes and the club's role is to provide support during this difficult time for the player.
"Sam made a statement, she apologised and I think that is enough," Bompastor told a news conference on Thursday. "Everyone can make mistakes and that's what you learn from and that's how you move forward."
"What she was facing last week was hard enough for her so the only thing we want to do as a club is support her."
