This season he missed a significant portion while recovering from an ACL tear. In December 2025, he said he would like to return to Palmeiras one day, but he still felt he had unfinished business at Arsenal. He is currently behind Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz in the central attacking role pecking order under Mikel Arteta.
