Apple has created the biggest anticipation of the year by announcing the release of iOS 18. The official public release may occur between September 16 and 23, following the historical pattern of supporting each iPhone firmware for six years from its release date.
The iPhones with iOS 16.4 and later versions will support the iOS 18 upgrade. Apple has made both the Beta and Developer Beta versions available for worldwide access, allowing users to directly download them from settings.
Apple will introduce Apple Intelligence, an AI ecosystem, to iOS 18 compatible models. While the latest devices will maximize compatibility and battery efficiency, older models may experience slightly reduced speeds due to the AI integration.
According to Apple's historical launch pattern, the public release of iOS 18 is expected in mid-September. The previous releases showed an average gap of four to five weeks between the first official developer beta and the public release.
