Apple's new operating system iOS 18 will not be compatible with iPhone models released before 2018 such as the 8 Plus and SE.

In order to be compatible with iOS 18, smartphones will need Apple's A12 Bionic chip, introduced in 2018 with the iPhone XR and XS models.
