The latest iPad Air features the new M3 chip, offering about 16% more performance compared to the previous M2 version. While it maintains a familiar design and comes with a long-lasting battery, ample storage, and a front camera, many elements remain unchanged, such as the reliance on Touch ID instead of Face ID. The device is still easy to use for various tasks including multitasking and gaming, but the reviewer feels enhancements could be made to the display.
Even the (extremely muted) colors appear identical this year.
Geekbench 6 scores show that the iPad Air with the M3 is about 16 percent more powerful in both single- and multi-core scores.
In real use, the iPad Air handled multitasking through my workday, playing games, transcoding video and trying out various Apple Intelligence features with absolutely no hiccups and slowdowns.
I think it's time the iPad Air had a better display.
