After logging into the Disney Plus app, users are met with messages directing them to complete their account setup on the website, indicating in-app sign-up is unsupported.
This change appears aimed at eliminating Apple's commission on new subscription revenues, a trend seen with other companies like Netflix and Spotify.
Existing subscribers to Disney Plus and Hulu who signed up through Apple will continue to be billed via Apple's services, maintaining their subscription.
