Apple's rumored plastic Apple Watch SE has reportedly hit a serious snag
Briefly

Apple's attempt to create a plastic version of the Apple Watch SE, aimed at being a cheaper and more child-friendly option, has encountered several difficulties. Reports indicate that after not launching at the expected September event, the project is now in jeopardy due to the design team's dissatisfaction with the look and challenges in reducing production costs compared to the aluminum model. As the second generation of the Apple Watch SE grows stale, a refresh is much anticipated but may not feature the planned plastic casing yet.
The design team doesn't like the look, and the operations team is finding it difficult to make the casing materially cheaper than the current aluminum chassis.
It's been over two years since Apple released the second generation Apple Watch SE, and that model now feels 'bland'.
