Apple's latest iPhone 16 event unveiled a new MagSafe charging cable that enhances charging speed for iPhone 16 users, while older devices will see no improvement.
The new MagSafe charger allows for maximum charging speeds of 25W with the iPhone 16, outperforming the original charger which maxes out at 15W.
With two cable lengths available, priced at $39 for 1m and $49 for 2m, the new MagSafe accessory targets users wanting faster charging but isn't necessary for older models.
While the new MagSafe charger provides advantages for iPhone 16 owners, users with older iPhone models and existing chargers will find little justification for an upgrade.
