Apple's Live Translation adds 4 new languages and has expanded features in the works
"AI models are particularly adept at understanding human language, including its context, syntax, and nuances, making them extremely proficient at translating between different languages. Apple leveraged these capabilities to create its own Live Translation feature, including unique capabilities when paired with AirPods. This week, Apple announced that its Live Translation feature is expanding to four additional languages across its ecosystem, bringing the total number of languages supported to 12."

"Now, with our translation to the Asian languages, we think it'll be really helpful for those customers as well.""
AI models excel at interpreting context, syntax, and nuances, enabling high-quality translations. Apple created Live Translation using these AI capabilities and added features when paired with AirPods. Live Translation now supports 12 languages after adding Chinese (Traditional), Dutch, Turkish, and Vietnamese. The feature delivers real-time audio and text translation across FaceTime, phone calls, Messages, Safari, and more, and remains free for users. Messages supports live translations while typing, after sending, and on receipt, including group chats. Apple emphasizes improved language-mix handling, particularly for Asian languages, to better serve diverse customers.
