Apple is rumored to be developing a smart display referred to as a 'HomePod with a screen', expected to feature a 6 or 7-inch screen and A18 chip. Ming-Chi Kuo, a noted supply chain analyst, suggests it could debut in the third quarter of next year, differing from earlier estimates of a March 2025 launch. This device may serve to bolster Apple's presence in the smart home market.
Kuo's analysis indicates Apple could deliver between 500,000 and a million units of this new display in the latter half of next year, as part of a broader strategy to expand into the smart home arena. The device is anticipated to run Apple applications and incorporate Apple Intelligence, setting it apart from existing HomePods and Apple TVs.
The smart display is expected to resemble an iPad, featuring a square shape that can be magnetically mounted.
