Apple opens the App Store to retro game emulators
Briefly

Apple is now allowing game emulators on the App Store globally, under the condition that games comply with all laws to prevent piracy, hinting at a crackdown on apps offering pirated titles.
In response to lawsuits and pressure, Apple is also updating rules for super apps like WeChat, mandating that mini-games and mini-apps within must utilize HTML5 rather than being native.
Apple's changes are seen as reactions to antitrust concerns in the US and the European Commission's pressure. These include allowing cloud game streaming services and updating music streaming app rules in the European Union.
