Apple's Apple Intelligence features will be delayed past the initial versions' fall launch, now planned for an October release to the general public instead.
The Apple Intelligence features will be available in beta versions of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 updates separately and tested alongside the main 18.0 updates.
It's common for Apple to delay features or software updates; the iPhone updates in September are fixed, and sometimes features are trimmed to meet deadlines.
