Apple is actively inviting scrutiny of its new Private Cloud Compute (PCC) system, which is central to enhancing its AI capabilities while maintaining user privacy.
To further enhance security and encourage researchers, Apple dramatically expanded its bug bounty program, offering up to $1,000,000 for the discovery of vulnerabilities within PCC.
Apple emphasizes that while many AI tasks are performed on-device, challenging operations are sent to PCC, ensuring the same privacy and security principles are applied.
With the PCC, Apple provides researchers with a security guide, a Virtual Research Environment for testing, and access to key source code to bolster transparency.
