Nissan has unveiled its first plug-in hybrid pickup truck, the Frontier Pro, at Auto Shanghai. This new model features a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with an electric motor, delivering over 402 horsepower and a torque of 590 pound-feet. The truck, available initially in China, boasts an electric-only range of 84 miles, although this figure is derived from the optimistic CLTC cycle. Weighing around 5,600 pounds, the Frontier Pro showcases a modern design and state-of-the-art technological features including a large digital display for a contemporary driving experience, while also paying homage to classic Nissan designs.
