Oakland airport adds zero-emission shuttle buses to fleet
Briefly

Oakland International Airport has introduced five zero-emission electric buses, marking a crucial step in its aim to fully electrify its fleet within the next decade. Manufactured by RIDE, a subsidiary of BYD, these buses will replace older vehicles powered by renewable natural gas. The transition represents a significant investment of $5.5 million, supported by grants. Port of Oakland officials highlighted the environmental benefits and enhanced passenger experience offered by the new buses, which feature modern amenities and a range of up to 208 miles.
Passengers and employees that utilize the new state-of-the-art buses can enjoy quiet, spacious, comfortable, and modern vehicle interiors without emissions.
We applaud Oakland Airport and their commitment to electrifying its fleet, offering sustainable transportation solutions that benefit both the environment and the community.
