The UN Food Price Index fell 1.2% in November, marking a third consecutive monthly decline. Declines in dairy, meat, sugar and vegetable oils could reduce consumer inflation if price cuts are passed on. Cereal prices rose 1.8% because of potential Chinese interest in US supplies, continuing Black Sea hostilities and expected reduced plantings in Russia. Vegetable oils fell 2.6% to a five-month low; meat fell 0.8% aided by lower pig and poultry prices and removal of US beef import tariffs. Dairy fell 3.1% on higher milk production and ample EU stocks; sugar dropped 5.9% amid strong crops in Brazil, India and Thailand. Separately, Cloudflare experienced technical problems that took many websites offline and began investigating Dashboard and API issues after 9am UK time.
