Vaderstad expands digital tools for seeding management
"You can go onto your cloud account either through the iPad or your desktop computer and pre-plan all your jobs... when your hired man goes into the field he can just pick the job... and then hit start and you can go."
"It really shows you where the drill is looking so you can better drive the drill... instead of having any pie misses because the drill never actually 'saw' that unseeded ground."
Vaderstad is introducing three significant software updates for its air seeder systems before the 2026 seeding season to enhance operational efficiency. The first update enables farm managers to pre-plan seeding jobs through the Vaderstad cloud platform using desktop computers or iPads, allowing operators to select and execute jobs directly from the field. The second update permits growers to import third-party field boundaries via shapefiles from platforms like Climate FieldView or Case IH FieldOps, improving integration across digital systems. The third update expands toolbar visualization technology, previously exclusive to the Seed Control Technology option, making it standard equipment. This visualization displays real-time drill positioning and seeding activity, helping operators avoid missed areas and improve overall field coverage accuracy.
