"You never really know what's going to take off and what people are going to be excited about,"
"But I'm really excited that hopefully this drives more people to start following the CEPA accounts that we have so that they can learn a lot more."
"I definitely thought it was cool and a little weird. I never thought stepping into this job that I would be part of an inspection for the Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium,"
"I'm very glad that I was able to be a part of it with my colleagues who share that sort of pride around the event, representing our county."
County agricultural inspectors conducted invasive-pest inspections of plant decor used at Levi's Stadium during Super Bowl LX. The County Consumer and Environmental Protection Agency posted behind-the-scenes clips linking pest-hunting work to the halftime show's plant-themed performers, earning hundreds of thousands of views and thousands of likes. The CEPA social account started the previous fall and had fewer than 100 followers at the time. Acting deputy agricultural commissioner Ericka Mora said she hopes the posts attract more followers to learn about CEPA. Inspector Lopez described the assignment as surprising but a proud way to represent the county, while communications staff filmed and posted cheeky, timely videos.
