"As was to be expected, new appeals have come forward to try and halt AC Milan and Inter's stadium project from getting fully underway. According to today's edition of the newspaper Il Giorno (via MilanPress), the Gruppo Verde San Siro - with the support of 200 residents - filed a complaint with the Lombardy Regional Administrative Court (TAR) yesterday. It is not the first, and it will not be the last, as Paolo Scaroni admitted."
"As reported by Calcio e Finanza, the association has appealed against the demolition of the current San Siro stadium and its sale to Inter and Milan, as well as against the project for the new facility. As a reminder, the new stadium project has not yet been presented in detail because the two world-famous architecture firms - Foster + Partners and MANICA - are still working on it, and will be for a few more months yet."
Gruppo Verde San Siro, supported by 200 residents, filed a complaint with the Lombardy Regional Administrative Court seeking to halt AC Milan and Inter's stadium project. The association appealed the demolition of the current San Siro, its sale to Inter and Milan, and the plans for a new facility. The new stadium design is still unfinished because Foster + Partners and MANICA are completing the plans and will take several more months. Gruppo Verde San Siro opposes resolutions and acts approved by the City Council and Executive Committee since 2019 related to the Meazza, Parco dei Capitani and the Patroclo underpass. The group requests an immediate cultural interest assessment by the Ministry of Culture and raises disputes over works around the new stadium, alleged procedural violations, and environmental noncompliance.
