Player Ratings: AC Milan 1-0 Lazio - Maignan does it again
"Maignan (8 - MOTM): He followed up on the brilliance against Inter with a wonderful save just two minutes into the game, showcasing outstanding reflexes. Easily the MOTM for me, even if he wasn't called into action loads after that, as the save was world-class. Tomori (6.5): The Englishman was carded early on but managed to remain composed enough to avoid a second. He got the assist for the goal with a nice cross, after a nice run down the right flank,"
"Gabbia (7): Mr right place right time. He cleared many crosses this evening and also had some crucial last-ditch interventions, including one on Isaksen which would have been a 1v1 with the keeper if it hadn't been for a brilliant tackle. Pavlovic (6): The last minutes almost turned disastrous for him, but at least in my opinion, it would have been shocking to award that penalty."
Mike Maignan earned man of the match with a world-class early save and commanding reflexes that preserved the lead. Fikayo Tomori provided the assist after a composed recovery from an early booking and a strong run down the right flank. Gabbia excelled with timely clearances and a crucial last-ditch tackle that prevented a clear chance. Pavlovic had a mixed outing, nearly conceding late but avoided a penalty and remained decent overall. Saelemaekers contributed energy up and down the flank but lacked end product. Fofana showed defensive tenacity but struggled in possession and finishing.
