Pellegatti reveals fears over Arsenal being linked to Bartesaghi: "It will happen again"
"I read a few days ago that English teams (Arsenal above all) are closely following and monitoring Bartesaghi,"
"My fear is that if English sirens were to be raised over Bartesaghi, the temptation to sell him would be too strong. It's happened before with these managements, and it will happen again. Nothing is being built."
Davide Bartesaghi has quickly risen into AC Milan's first-team pecking order, overtaking summer signing Pervis Estupinan after scoring a brace against Sassuolo. Estupinan had cost nearly €20m. Bartesaghi previously only had brief first-team appearances under Paulo Fonseca and Sérgio Conceição. Arsenal reportedly monitored Bartesaghi since the summer. There is concern that interest from Premier League clubs could tempt AC Milan's management to sell the young defender, repeating past short-term transfer decisions that undermine long-term squad building.
