Fullkrug's agent admits change from West Ham 'makes sense' amid Milan links
"AC Milan were linked with a move to Niclas Fullkrug in the summer of 2024, but the German moved to West Ham. There was a lot of talk about Fullkrug in the 2024 summer mercato, and it seemed like he could make a move to Milan after a decent season with Dortmund and a solid European Championship performance."
"Since his move to West Ham, the German has scored just three times in 25 Premier League games, and whilst the Hammers have been poor, his own performances have not helped."
"Looking back, we have to say that the transfer did not work out. There is no point in sugarcoating the pill. Goodbye? This always has to happen in collaboration with the club. But let's put it this way: I think it might make sense to make a change."
Niclas Fullkrug moved from Dortmund to West Ham in the summer of 2024 after a decent season and a solid European Championship performance. AC Milan showed interest in the striker during the 2024 summer mercato but he ultimately headed to England. Since the transfer he has scored just three Premier League goals in 25 appearances and his performances have not matched expectations. At 32 years old a late-career move to Milan was considered unlikely on sporting and strategic grounds. His agent, Thorsten Wirth, acknowledged that the transfer did not work out and suggested that a change might make sense in collaboration with the club.
