Jonathan Milan, the Prologue winner from Lidl-Trek, claimed victory in the first road stage of the Deutschland Tour, leading the bunch sprint in Heilbronn.
Milan's victory not only enhances his standing in the General Classification but also secures his lead, now nine seconds ahead of Jordi Meeus, who took the points classification lead.
The race saw an early breakaway that built a significant lead, but the strong tactics of the WorldTour teams proved effective in controlling the race.
Despite an impressive attack by Nick Bangert from the breakaway, he could not maintain his lead against the organized efforts of Lidl-Trek, paving the way for Milan.
