CorSport: The front and the back - Allegri's two selection doubts ahead of Bologna trip
"AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri has a couple of doubts to resolve regarding the team he will field against Bologna. Having won three out of six league games to begin 2026, there is pressure on Milan to return to winning ways at the Stadio Renato dall'Ara, otherwise the risk of Inter running away with the title will grow drastically."
"As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress), Milan resumed training a few days before the match against Bologna. Allegri has a couple of doubts that he wishes to resolve before the team depart on Tuesday. Alexis Saelemaekers could once again start against a former team despite his fitness issues that were evident in the draw with Roma. He returned quickly from an adductor issue but didn't look at his best in the capital and came off at half-time."
Massimiliano Allegri must resolve multiple selection doubts ahead of the trip to Bologna. Results have been mixed with three wins from six league games to start 2026, increasing pressure for a win at the Stadio Renato dall'Ara. Alexis Saelemaekers remains a fitness concern after an adductor issue and a half-time withdrawal against Roma, but could still start. Strahinja Pavlovic is expected to return at left centre-back. Koni De Winter and Fikayo Tomori are competing for the right-sided centre-back role. Up front, Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic are preferred, while Niclas Füllkrug seeks to earn a starting spot.
