Mateo Retegui has signed a four-year contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah from Atalanta for a reported fee of €65m plus add-ons. This transfer makes Retegui the most expensive Italian player in history, surpassing the fee Newcastle United paid for Sandro Tonali. Retegui, who previously played for Atalanta, finished as the top scorer in Serie A for the 2024-25 season, scoring 25 goals in 36 matches.
